Welcome To DRISHTI

Drishti was personal drive and passion of Susmita Nag. It began with serving three children for first 12 months. The name itself suggests that the mission was to address the personal life style and self dignity of all challenged children in and outside India. It is an Eternal Truth that only education can’t be the key to a healthy life for any individual. Every individual need Love, Compassion, Respect, Recreation and above all a Purposeful involvement to live happily Drishti since perceptions thus has been focusing on Dignity to life for these children. Drishti is a movement seeking for a new horizon.

Susmita Nag was blessed to be the youngest daughter of DR.Tulsi Nag and DR. Adinath Nag. It was under their support that it was possible to get a single room in above mentioned venue to start the work. Monthly four classes were held on every Saturdays conducted by Susmita Nag without any staff to assist her.

Today by the grace of God Drishti is looking after 25 to 30 such challenged children with 6 – 8 trained staff. Each staff is entitled to respective departments. Drishti till now have not seeked any economic support from any individuals. Drishti accepted help in kinds only (sweets, stationary, old toys).

For a purposeful living Drishti took the effort to include these children in several fairs like Kolkata BookFair /BiddhanagarMelaand many more. Drishti has also organized Annual tour 2 nights 3 days with these children to places like Bolpur, Digha, Bakkhali, and Jairambati for community training and 24hours observation.It is followed by detailed records of the children for parent guidance too. Today by the grace of God Drishti is a community and a society. (Society registration – WEST BENGAL ACT XXVI of 1961 S/2L/58345).

Secretary's Note

Learning is not a process limites to educational institutions nor it ends with career. Schools are oriented to the foundation and adaptation of various method suiting individual interest areas to achieve survival and emotional training to attain coping skills efficiently. It's further in Self as well. Teacing and practice of values are also very important part of education for child's positive future.

Character creates self responsibily which in turn leads to high Self esteem. Maturaity is reflected in all aspects of character- decisions we make, age appropriate tasks or leisure activities we chose and little responsibilities we accept everyday talks about the individua; when child attains adult age. This actuallyt upholds dignity of an individual. Being ready to help others and also living with the though "What You Are Is God's gift to you and what you do towards others and self is GIft to God".
